Sunday Morning Worship

We're so glad you're considering joining us for a visit! Although we gather multiple times throughout the week, the Sunday morning service is the best time to visit Marquette for the first time. During the 10:30 AM service, our church gathers together to worship God and learn more about Him through the teaching of His Word.

For children ages 0-3 years old, there is free childcare available for the entire service. For preschool-aged children, we have a Beginner Bible Time that offers a program geared to kids ages 4-5 and includes games, singing, a Bible lesson, and more! Both nurseries and Beginner Bible are located by the lower level entrance. Ushers can help you get there if needed. We also have Junior Church for children in 1st through 4th grade. Kids planning to attend Junior Church should start in the auditorium at 10:30 AM and will be dismissed right before the preaching begins. The Junior Church program includes songs, games, a Bible lesson, and memory verse. We take the safety and security of children at Marquette very seriously. Sunday School

To connect with others and to grow in your understanding of God's Word, we offer Sunday School classes for all ages, including children, teens, and adults at 9:30 AM.

The following small group classes are available during the Sunday School hour:

A General Bible Study (for any adult) - Auditorium
Men's Bible Study - Room 201
Ladies' Bible Study - Room 209
Homebuilders' Bible Study - Multi-Purpose Room
Elevation Teen Bible Study - Youth Room (School Wing)
Various Children's Bible Classes - ask ushers for locations by age

What to Expect

The Sunday morning services generally last about an hour and a half. Our services include several opportunities for the congregation to join in a time of joyful singing in praise to God. There is a time of public prayer by one of our pastors, Scripture is read, and other musical selections may be presented involving instrumentalists, or singers. The focal point of our services is the preaching of the Word of God.

Our music is traditional in that we sing the timeless songs and hymns of the faith along with some newer hymns that are filled with rich truth. Our Sunday morning services include congregational singing accompanied by piano and organ, as well as musical selections presented by vocalists and instrumentalists. Every song used in worship at Marquette seeks to direct hearts back to God and honor Him as our loving Father and Creator.

Marquette has two parking lots available to guests. The smaller upper level parking lot (on the corner of 75th and Fairview) is nearest to our auditorium and allows for the least amount of walking and steps. The larger lower level parking lot entrance is further south on Fairview. This entrance is nearest to the nursery and childcare areas. Ushers will be at the doors and can help direct you as needed.

At MMBC, we believe that God desires that His people would give financially for the work of the ministry. However, the intention is that those offerings come principally from those who have committed themselves to the ministry of Marquette—not from our guests. Although offering plates will be passed and will be available near the entrances, guests should not feel under any obligation to participate. Instead, we would ask that you fill out a “Connection Card” and drop it in the offering plate.
